The quote "if you are doing wrong you have nothing to fear" only seems to apply to the public and not the politicians who we know swindled the tax payers with their expenses and probably continue to do so.
What worries me is that these drones are capable of being armed and used against the public of this country. Fine we hear they are for protecting our troops, which is admirable if it saves lives (I won't go into the moral argument of the Afganistan war) but some 30 years ago, no one would ever have dreamed that the police here would become such bullies and turn from protecting the public to protecting the institutions from legitimate public disgust and protest, but it has happened and it could well happen again with the use of drones.
With the trouble in Northern Ireland never really going away and now the public have been informed that men considered guilty of bombings have been given amnesty against facing trial for their conduct, I would not be surprised to suddenly 'hear' that these drones will be used somewhere like Northern Ireland to help the police perhaps as an experiment for future use in the mainland.
I don't buy the idea that a man sitting miles away in an RAF or whatever hut has the same sense of reality, as a man actually piloting an armed craft.

It's to be deployed primarily over the UK, the first of which will be over Wiltshire and is defined in the film as a spy plane which will be used to support intelligence operations? Have i missed something?
Stinks of domestic surveillance to me. As i stated it is not being used in anyway for crime prevention. Active military spying operations over UK civilian airspace doesn't ring any alarms?

It will be the end of law courts, barristers, and lawyers. They will know who is/has been at the location of any crime, just rewind and playback to identify the perp in the act. No cops to pay, no CID, no expensive time-consuming investigation, no rights read and no jury - just picked up, convicted, and taken straight before a judge to be sentenced.
Very efficient.

This is a military project and will not be used by the UK's police force as they have no access to the technology. The true nature of their objectives has not been made public.
