As I mentioned earlier... During times of war. www.imediaethics.orgActually I doubt if there was ever totally free access by media to anything concerning the govt. It's propaganda by all political parties not just this one. Oh, I agree. whatever regime is in power gets to display "their" information!

I'm still trying to weigh, in both hands, the "fact", that I have "information needs".
I can only imagine, what those are. I thought I was just lonely.

I don't see a problem with this. I would however have a severely huge #in' problem if they started to invade anything under private ownership (they already do under the guise of spying). As far as I know large networks like Twitter & Facebook hold their users in high regard & protect our privacy from invasion. With newspapers its not so much a big deal even though some papers are privately owned, it's all about the nature of what they do. They are in the information sharing business, I can't imagine how it would hurt.

Sadly is something wrong going on when people no longer trust their constitutional rights anymore, freedoms seems to become now something to be ashamed off rather than cherished, you can see that going on when the government is attacking those that try to protect any rights.
I can see that when people post agreeing with anything that is done in the nation in the name of protection and national security, the NSA spying is ok, the tracking of citizens is ok, drones in the sky is ok, attacking groups protesting against oppression and government expansion is ok because is not oppression is national security.
I can go on and on, the new generation growing up in this new America will have nothing to pass on to their children.

It's the same as the "need" that the government determined you have of health insurance.

Everyone wants access to information... That doesn't mean the info is true or not. That's up to the person spoon feeding it to you.

Come one people they just want you to think that. News is controled by the government, all stories are scripted. Anchors don't write their scripts, they are just given them before going on air.
This is just a distraction to hide the truth

Yeah they are now. It won't be long now until social media is heavily regulated by the FCC or some other alphabet group. Unless the NSA is assigned to social media.
